Meet Joe
Joe Novy- Professional Farrier & Founder of The Hoof Lab
I grew up riding and breaking colts for trainers, but it wasn’t until I found a truly dedicated farrier that my horses started moving sound and performing at their best. That experience changed everything—I switched paths, apprenticed with top mentors, earned my Journeyman certification through the American Farriers Association, and specialized in therapeutic farriery.
Today, I work with veterinarians across Southern California and travel to major events like the NFR, World Series Team Roping, and MVP Barrel Race, helping horses from trail riders to elite competitors stay sound and strong. Through The Hoof Lab, I’m passionate about sharing real knowledge so owners and farriers can build better hoof health together.
